I liked this story, but not as much as the author's first offering. The Dolcett universe was interesting, but all the religion and Romanesque elements bugged me. Also, I was hoping for a bit more torture. Still, the author provided an entertaining tale overall, and if you enjoy a Dolcett fantasy, you will probably enjoy this. (7/10)
