A wonderful rendition of bringing mythological figures to life. The storytelling of Master Philomen and his Slave Bacis demonstrates what generousity and devotion bring to a world that can at times be very cruel and thankless. Does every woman not long for a man to devote to lovingly and completely as he in turn will to her? A relationship so strong in this commitment that the generosity would naturally be extend to the guests of their house.. whether in the offering of food, wine or His slave. And, the guests naturally, whether gods or vagrants, would only extend gifts of their own as a tribute to these two. The twist was nice.. memorable. And in the tradition of all great Greek tales.. the ending sweetened with moral. (10/10)

Wonderful tale, told with just enough
tongue-in-cheek to raise a broad smile.
Easy to read, follow and enjoy -- and a happy ending, too! Well done. (9/10)

I really enjoyed this delightful little tale. It touches on deeper things without being tiresome or long-winded; it is sexy, though not very graphic. It resembles a fable, perhaps due to the nature of the style the author chose. A good read, overall. (8/10)

Sexy, romantic, spiritual...all in one wonderful glop. I loved it. Okay...first of all, everyone needs to ignore the seemingly inconsistant language uses, you know...the "no problemo". It actually works, reminding the reader that this is a pastiche. I saw one place that needed a comma, but that was the only grammarical issue I found in the whole thing. What a great story! My heart is so full of that loving feeling after reading it. Thanks Michelle! (10/10)
