It occurred to me that just about all the women who suffer in my stories are either helpless, unwilling victims or compulsive masochists who crave the pain and degradation they receive. I wanted to write a story about a woman who fell into neither of those categories--and about the things we do for love. |

Warning! My review, despite the rating, is about to be way different. First thing I have to say - from the middle to the very end I had a little problem reading, because I was crying the whole time. This story was... excellently terrible. I'll explain this little paradox. The story was perfectly written and highly realistic, chatacters were well developed, especially the husband (I appologise for not remembering the name), who was wll written, straigt up psychopath. Look, I have no idea if that is so obvious/so much meant to be, that nobody here didn't feel like it's necessary to bring it up (I can be that stupit sometimes), but I currently study psychology and I feel like her husband came out of my books about mental disorders. The way he controls her, manipulates with her, uses her greatest weakness against her feels too real for me. I did not enjoyed this story. To be honest, it was pain for me to get through it. I felt terrible, helpless, despair was (and is) all over me. This is not a beautiful story. This is emotional and mental abuse. I was glad for the ending. I hope that true BDSM relationship doesn't look like this, that this relationship was toxic, that true, real dominants won't act like that, that they will listen, understand that not even a sub is capable of everything, that there are strict rules and borders... and, at the very end, love and respect. Please tell me this is not ordinary. In the very end, despite my distaste, I have to say that this is a masterpiece. (10/10)

Added this to my shelf without a review. Shame on me. I can only add that "Simon Says" is one of the most erotic tales I've read. Perfectly executed, with excellent character deployment. Top stuff. JJ (10/10)

First I much say how much I enjoyed reading your story. You mentioned this was your first try at writing about what one would do for love. You 'done' good. I loved the fact that the characters developed in such a way that they were not left with many courses of action as often is in real life. I loved the tug-of-war endured by the female lead character. It never felt forced, like it was taken from a script of a generic BDSM plot. The storyline was also very solid and easy to follow. And yes, we all have done some incredibly stupid things in the name of love ! I look forward to reading more of your work in the future. (10/10)

Outstanding story. The theme of the "unwilling" sub; i.e. the sub who is not a real submissive, nor a masochist, but rather submits as an offering to her top, (the "O" type) has always been my favorite. Please let's have more of this type of stories. (10/10)

This story was good enough to motivate me to go create an account to review it and give it a perfect 10. I've been reading stories on here for a long time ... this was the most powerful one of them all. It has high literary quality but most importantly the great energy and passion in the text and the novel theme make this a 10. Great work Pamela , your best so far. (10/10)

Humiliation and submission at its finest. Explicit but not crude. Erotically dirty without being disgusting. Fantastic fantasy while being realistic. (10/10)

A simple but tasty idea. A man degrading his wife because he loves her more that way and she developing an awareness that their love fed that way is more important than the awfullness of beiing humilliated. This is the best I have read from you Pamela. Because of this story I will read more material of yours. Thanks for your writing. (9/10)

Masterfully written. An excellent story in every way. Great pacing, great structure, incredible dialogue. I wasn't bored for a single moment. Every single paragraph is worth reading, which is something I can't even say about many published authors. Wow. (10/10)

I have only read the first chapter but I can make a preliminary judgement based on that - High Quality, Very Enjoyable, Well Written. The opening reminds me of the start of the movie "The Secretary". That is, the story starts at a point when the relationship has matured into BDSM and then developes by returning to the show how the BDSM relationship began. Albeit, the quality of of the writing is not quite up to the standards of the screenplay of the "Secretary" or of the short story on which it was based. But then my rating is a nine and not a ten. In any case, this is one of the better openings I have read around this site in some time. Let me see how the story developes and I may change my rating up or down accordingly. However, this is definitely a story worth reading. (9/10)
