This is a tale of torment in a strange country where the government was a dictatorship denying basic rights to its people. Any rebels who resisted the government or acted against its wishes were persecuted severely. This is the story of Kathy, a university student who experiences torture at the hands of the government. |

Story begins describing her being undressed "She waited as one of the guards unzipped her jeans and pulled it down." Same paragraph ended with, "She was now wearing only her white brassiere and slip as she trembled." Later she is handed a gown, and yet continues with the "slip." Besides it being violent of a brutal nature, not "torture" the inconstancies such as one does not wear a slip under jeans. It is hard to follow with any enjoyment, well at least the kind I seek from these story codes.
Boccacio adds a bit of humor, I was thinking along the same lines, with SSDD (same stuff different day).

The story has good intensity, (albeit too extreme for my personal tastes) but is weakened by an uneven writing style and a rather over-used story line -- Kathy is abducted by men in a black van and hauled off to be tortured. Couldn't somebody be abducted in an green van just once? Or a white Ford Bronco? Or something?

- Most of the time I agree with Boccaccio, but kidnapping in a GREEN van? Read the kidnapper's rule book ch9.132.123b "Vans must be black or white"
